Our St. Peter the Apostle Diocese parishioners and youth gathered together for the 4th year and attended the Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco this past weekend.
We as Chaldean Catholics represented our Diocese and walked together to build a culture of life and stand for our views as pro-life Catholics.
We began our day with a beautiful Mass celebrated by Arch-Bishop Cordileone at St. Mary’s Cathedral. We also met with Fr. Frank Pavone, founder of Priests for Life, for a brief moment and shared conversation in our prolife movement and received his blessing.
Then we prepared for the Walk for Life with a few great speakers proclaiming the Word of God, explaining the prolife message, and proving how abortion hurts woman.
This annual trip is organized by Stephen Nissou, Father David Stephen, and Father Royal Hannosh.
We also coordinate with all the churches in our Diocese to meet together and walk together in our fight against abortion.
We were blessed to have Father Michael Barota and Sister Margaret with us on the walk. Also, the youth enjoyed the social gathering at Union Square in San Francisco.
It was an eye opening experience and we look forward to next year’s Walk for Life!
