The Celebration of Ba’utha 2016

Yesterday evening concluded the three-day ceremony of Ba’utha, the Supplication of the Ninevites, in remembering the preaching of Jonah. During those three days, St. Peter Chaldean Cathedral and St. Michael’s Chaldean Church, both located in San Diego, CA., ¬†held a combined total of four prayer services and masses each day, as well the Sacrament of reconciliation; a tradition that has been continued since the 6th century. The community throughout the three days united together to participate in beautiful prayers which were sung in both Chaldean and English. Below are the pictures throughout the ceremonies.
