New Priests In Our Diocese

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the close of the age." - Matthew 28:19-20

August 7th, 2015 – The Chaldean Catholic Diocese of St. Peter the Apostle will be ordaining two new priests by the laying of hands of His Excellency Bishop Sarhad Yawsip Jammo. A week from today, Shamasha David Stephen and Shamasha Royal Hannosh will be the second pair to be ordained priests coming out of the Seminary of Mar Abba the Great, a blessing in the Chaldean community. Entering the Seminary of Mar Abba the Great together in 2009, Shamasha David and Shamasha Royal have established themselves as spiritual guides for the youth. Their involvement with youth groups and activities are just the beginning of the impact they will have in our community. St. Peter Cathedral will be hosting a prayer service for the soon to be priests the day before the ordinations: Thursday, August 13th at 7pm. Please join us in praying for these two men and in sharing in the joy for this blessing from God.
