A Festivity of Love

St. Matthew Catholic Church, Ceres-Ca 8th Annual Mesopotamian Food Festival

On Saturday, August 22nd, and Sunday, August 23rd, our Parish community celebrated our 8th Annual Food Festival. In bringing together a diverse venue of art, food, and Folkloric music, we celebrated our heritage with our friends, neighbors, and guests who traveled from near and far.

The highlight of our two days event was vividly evident in the outpouring support of our own Parish volunteers. Most especially our Daughters of Mary Ministry, as well as of our sister Parishes of St. Thomas Assyrian-Chaldean Catholic Church of Turlock-Ca and St. Mary’s Assyrian-Chaldean Church of Campbell-Ca, along with volunteers from other local parishes. Furthermore, the presence of two of our Pastors, Fr. Michael Barota and Fr. Simon Esshaki, as well as Fr. Mark Wagner, Pastor of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Modesto-Ca.

We extend our most heartfelt gratitude to GOD, Our Heavenly Father, for our families, friends, guests, vendors, and all volunteers, who made this event a festivity of love and friendship.
