First Mass of St. Michael’s Catechism

This past week was the first mass for the St. Michael’s Catechism students and their parents and staff. For the first hour of mass the Catechists and Catechumens attended mass that was celebrated by Father Peter Lawrence with a homily given by Deacon David Stephen, speaking about the importance of showing God love by our actions.

Following the mass the students all went back to class for their weekly lesson and the parents enjoyed some coffee and pastries and then went into a meeting lead by the administration of St. Michael’s Catechism. In this meeting the Administration stressed that teaching the children the teachings of Christ and the Church must always begin at home and when the students attend Catechism classes and learn a new lesson the parents need to cover with their children the lessons learned that week. Other things were covered regarding the curriculum of Catechism as well as some housekeeping items. We thank all those parents who attended.
