The 10th Annual Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco, Saturday, January 25th, 2014
“Freedom consists not in doing what we like, but in having the right to do what we ought.”
Our Blessed Pope John Paul II.
Because LIFE matters, we walked for Life!
Because men regret lost fatherhood, we walked for Life!!
Because everyone deserves a birthday, we walked for Life!!!
Because we are Catholics standing up 4 Life, we walked for Life!!!!
Because women deserve better than Abortion, we walked for Life!!!!
It was an honor and a privilege that we joined thousands of our Catholic brothers and sisters from around the State and beyond, “estimated 50,000-plus people”. Men and women, young and old, and even children and teen at the 10th Annual Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco, on Saturday, January 25th, 2014. As we joined our brothers and sisters from our Diocese of St. Peter the Apostle, San Diego, CA. Also from St. Thomas Assyrian-Chaldean Catholic Church, Turlock, CA. and St. Mary Assyrian-Chaldean Catholic Church, Campbell, CA. Even more so, having Father Faris Marrougi, Father Fareed Kinna from our Diocese along with Seminarians from Seminary of Mar Abba the Great, and Father Micheal Barota of St. Mary Church leading us through the March, in prayers and chanting; their participation was an added blessing we are most grateful for.
We stood against Abortion, the genocide made legal, we marched and chanted aloud giving voice to the thousands, and many more thousands, of innocents that are dismembered while they are in their mother’s womb, their lives being snuffed out before the eyes of the law, while the assaults continue and the assailants live free. Labeled with words such as “free choice”, Abortion continues to deprive the most vulnerable of all, their own civil rights.
Walk for Life is an obligation not an option, and a mission every Christian ought to make it their own, remember this:
“Rescue those who are being dragged to death, and from those tottering to execution withdraw not. If you say, “I know not this man!” does not he who tests hearts perceive it? He who guards your life knows it, and he will repay each one according to his deeds.” Proverbs 24:11-12
In Christ and Mary,
