Sisters Visit Vicariates to Train Teachers and Choirs

Having our Parishes become unified musically is an essential aspect of being communicatively unified. However, applying ourselves to a lifelong Faith-enrichment, so to revive the life of Faith of our Parish communities, is vital in all aspects. And for these reasons, St. Matthew and St. Thomas Parishioners were blessed to have Sr. Miskenta and Sr. Warda of the Workers of the Vineyard Convent, present their 2-days introductory course on August 9-10, 2013 at St. Matthew, Ceres-Ca. This event was indeed an extension of the continuous care we have been blessed to receive from our beloved Bishop and spiritual father, H.E. Mar Sarhad Y. Jammo.  The course, though in brief, offered Choir Training session, an introduction of OT and NT, the Sacred Traditions of our Catholic Faith and the writings of The Church Fathers. The event was both informative and factual. It was an opportunity for us to see the vast spiritual resources our Diocese has prepared for us.

We extend our gratitude to our beloved Bishop and spiritual father, H.E. Mar Sarhad Y. Jammo. Sr. Miskenta and Sr. Warda. St. Thomas Parishioners and all the attendees, and all who volunteered to make this event a success. And the event was concluded with celebrating the Holy Mass by our Pastors, Fr. Awraha Mansoor and Fr. Peter Georgis.
