The Chaldean Scouts have officially begun at St. Peter Cathedral. The group of about 50 boys and girls gathered in the Educational Center for the first meeting. After saying the Pledge of Allegiance, Fr. Andrew Younan spoke to the group about what it means to be a Scout and some of the things they will be learning and doing this summer.
Chaldean Scouts takes place every Wednesday from 10am-1pm, beginning July 3 and ending on August 21. It is organized by the Seminarians of Mar Abba the Great and the Sisters of the Workers of the Vineyard. Their summer activities include camping, hiking, guest speakers and learning about their Chaldean culture and heritage.
