First Communion in Arizona

On Saturday May 26, 2012, His Excellency, Bishop Sarhad Y. Jammo celebrated the first communion Mass in Phoenix Arizona for 34 children.

The Holy Liturgy lasted from 11:00am-1:00pm, after it the crowd went to the hall for a reception where they enjoyed delicious food and socializing to celebrate the beautiful occasion.

The children completed 9 months of Catechism classes before receiving the Sacrament on the 26th. Their main teacher was Fr. Felix Shabbi, who, along with the help of many volunteers, helped prepare the children for their First Communion through the different lessons and tests.
