St. Peter the Apostle Diocese Youth Convention

The Chaldean Diocese of St. Peter the Apostle, the Western Diocese of the United State of America, will launch the 2006 Youth Convention between July 21-23 at St. Paul Assyrian Chaldean Catholic Parish of Los Angels, California.

A large number of youth from seven parishes under this Diocese will participate in order to increase their knowledge of how to live their faith and religious experience in peace with the Lord and with their neighbors.

The Convention will consist of morning and evening prayers based on our liturgy, and other presentations of all aspects of the religious life. Faith, liturgy, and fellowship will help our youth understand and live a fulfilling life in our world today.

They will also spend their evenings learning and participating in some activities, such as, plays, poems, hymns, folklore dance, and sports, while they enjoy sightseeing the beautiful city of Los Angeles.

The Diocese is hopeful that the convention will help these youth find peace in the Lord and spread His message to the world as peacemakers, who will be forever blessed, for they will be called children of God (Matthew 5:9).
