Assumption of Virgin Mary

On Tuesday August 15, 2006, St. Peter Cathedral in El Cajon, CA celebrated the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

Hundreds of people attended the event that was started with the Divine Liturgy celebrated by his Excellency Bishop Sarhad Yawsip Jammo.

Then the procession began with the clergy exiting the church  then the deacons followed by the Legio Maria solidarity and  both choir groups from St. Peter church and St. Michael church followed by the hundreds of people all praying the rosary for our dear country Iraq who is in most need for our prayers in these difficult times.
