CLERGY

Fr. Awraha Mansoor (Pastor) -

Born in Ankawa, near Arbil Iraq,   in 1974, entered ( Order Of  St. Hermized of Chaldean)  in 1988

became monk in 1995 at the Church of St. John  in Dura - Baghdad, he studied philosophy at the College of Human Sciences of Babylon in Baghdad for two years, then sent by church officials to Lebanon to complete the theological study at the University Kaslik (Holy Spirit) in 1996 after completing his studies and theology went back to Iraq and became a priest in the Church of St. Joseph - Baghdad - Kgrbanda in 2000 and was appointed in the same year  in the monastery of Monks of Chaldeans.  A year later sent to Rome - Italy to complete his graduate studies, and studied media and journalism at the University of Santa Croce and get  the Masters in media from the same University and also studied the social sciences and he get the Higher Diploma in Social Sciences from the University of  Angelicum ( Dominican Fathers)  in Rome.

Returned to Iraq  on 2005 and was appointed superior of the St. Mar Antonios  Monastery  in Baghdad - and then was elected  in the same year as the first Counselor of the Order of St. Hermizd of Chaldean  . Fr Auraha is also a  member of the union, told reporters Geneva - Switzerland/ Lebanon Branch.

on April 2007 arrived to San Diego and was appointed to San George Monastery at Riverside. on January 2008 established a missionary of Rabban Hermizd in Riverside since the need of 60 families there.

on June 2008 Fr. Awraha Mansoor appointed pastor of  St. George Chaldean Catholic Church in Santa Ana, Orange County.

Fr. Potrus Sulaqa (Assistant Pastor)

Born in Ankawa, near Arbil Iraq,   in 1973. Entered ( Order Of  St. Hermized of Chaldean)  in 1987,  became monk in 1994 at the Church of   St. John  ( Mar Yuhanna )  in Dura - Baghdad.  He studied philosophy at the College of Human Sciences of Babylon in Baghdad for three years, then sent by church officials to Lebanon to complete the theological study at the University Kaslik (Holy Spirit) in 1997.  After completing his studies and theology went back to Iraq and became a priest in the Church of St. Joseph - Baghdad - Kgrbanda in 2000, and was appointed in the same year  in Mar Georges in Mosul - Iraq.   A year later sent to Rome - Italy to study Cannon Law at the Oriental Institute.

Returned to Iraq  on 2005 and was appointed in Monastery of Lady (Der Alsayeda) in Alqush, and managed orphan department. on June 2008 left Iaraq and arrived to San Diego, USA.  He was appointed to assist in San George Chaldean Church, San George Monastery at Riverside, and Rabban Hermizd Mission at Riverside.

HISTORY

• Fr. Emanual Shaletta was assigned the first priest of the St. George mission.
• Apr. 28, 2001: Grand opening of St. George parish. Church building dedicated. The building (7,200 sq. ft) has a capacity for more than 180 people. Fr. Polous Ghozairan assigned pastor. He served for seven months.
• Nov. 2001: Fr. Andrawes Toma appointed pastor.
• June 2008: Fr. Awraha Mansoor appointed pastor of  St. George.
