Party 2011
The
Knights of Columbus Mar Toma Council hosted the Annual Graduation
Ceremony and Banquet Friday June 15th, 2011. The Chaldean High
School and College graduates of San Diego came together celebrating
their accomplishments as they begin a new chapter in their life. His
Excellency Mar Sarhad Yawsip Jammo, Bishop of St. Peter the Apostle
Diocese, presided as our guest of Honor for this special occasion.
He congratulated the graduates and thanked the families for being
supportive parents. This year we had 94 Graduates registered in the
Yearbook, printed by the Chaldean Media Center.
During the Graduation event, the Knights of Columbus also presented
their annual Scholarship program recipients. This program gives the
Chaldean High School and College graduates a chance to receive a
scholarship as they continue with their education. This year we had
26 applicants and 19 scholarship recipients. The four types of
scholarships presented were in the Academic, Leadership, Athletic,
and New Comer categories.
The Knights of Columbus would like to thank all the graduates who
participated in this year’s graduation event. It was a great success
and we would also like to thank all our sponsors and volunteers that
made this event possible. We appreciate the continued support from
our community year after year.
May God Bless the Class of 2011 and we hope they serve their church
and community as they continue to succeed in their future endeavors!
