On Friday, August 6, 2010, an ensemble
group of musicians and singers, directed by Luay Yousif
put on a musical evening at the St. Peter’s Church hall.
His Excellency Mar Sarhad Yawsip Jammo along with Mar
Bawai Soro and clergy were in attendance. This event,
sponsored by the Chaldean Academy, featured Mesopotamian
music along with Chaldean songs and Iraqi folk songs. The music was beautifully written
and arranged to portray the Mesopotamian art and
culture. |
