Gospel Reading and Hymns
The Gospel was read in Chaldean by Mar Sarhad Yawsip Jammo in darkness to recall the "hour of darkness" that Christ spoke of in the Garden. The reading came from Luke's gospel depicting the story of the passion. The reading was followed by a number of hymns sung by the clergy who were present. The audio of the reading and hymns is found above.
