St. Peter Bible Study Visits the Dead Sea Scroll Exhibit
at Balboa Park

 

On the afternoon of Saturday, September 20th, 2007, a group of students of the holy Scriptures from St. Peter Chaldean Cathedral took the opportunity to visit the Balboa Park exhibit of some of the Dead Sea Scrolls, some of the oldest Biblical manuscripts in existence. The experience was spiritually fruitful and informative of the history of salvation as it was recorded and faithfully preserved by this community (possibly) living at a site called Qumran. The trip was a good way to see, in a concrete way, the history of our faith as well as a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
