Emmaus Retreat Held in St. George Monastery

From August 16-19 2007, twenty eight young people from the Chaldean Diocese of St. Peter the Apostle attended a retreat named after the passage in the Gospel of Luke relating the journey of two disciples to the town of Emmaus. After arriving on Thursday evening, they participated in prayers, Masses, talks and activities which helped them to focus on their journey with Christ in this world, with a special emphasis on the Biblical spirituality of the Chaldean Church. The group left the monastery in Riverside, CA, Sunday afternoon spiritually renewed and invigorated.
