Hold Their First Retreat for the St. Peter's Mom's Group
On June 5, 2007,
Workers of the Vineyard held their first retreat for the Mom’s
group of St. Peter’s at their convent. The retreat started at
around nine in the morning and lasted until about 2 in the
afternoon. The day centered on Mary and her role as the mother
of Christ and His Church. There were talks given by the Workers
of the Vineyard which elaborated on the theme of the day and the
retreatant’s personal roles as mothers. There was also a rosary
said in the chapel, followed by time in adoration of the Blessed
Sacrament. We concluded the day with a simple lunch where we
could relax and enjoy each others company. Christ was made
present to us all through the laughter, tears, and conversation
we shared with one another and He continues to present Himself
to us everyday. God bless all of the mothers who were able to
join us and we thank you for making our first retreat such a
wonderful success.
