May 19, 2007 “The Legion of Mary”
Who is she that comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array? The object of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God through the holiness of it’s members developed by prayer and active co-operation at the disposal of our diocese Bishop Mar Sarhad Yawsip Jammo and the parish priest Father Michael Bazzi; for any form social service and Catholic action which these authorities may deem suitable to the legionaries and useful for the church. The first enrollment of legionaries of Mary took place in San Diego, CA at St. Peter Chaldean Catholic Cathedral on November 2005. We highly encourage the people who have the ability in self-sacrifice for any social service and Catholic function to be in the Legio Mariae. Anyone interested to participate, call (619) 579-7913.
