April 17, 2007 Spring Youth Activities from the” Breath of Life” youth:
On Saturday March 24, 2007, The Lord was truly at work during the Lenten season through the activities of the youth. We truly were on a journey with Christ through his passion. We had multiple retreats which focused on his suffering and turmoil. Because the death of Christ is what we focused on we really tried to die to ourselves through our sacrifices and prayer. Each retreat and activity was centered on our own personal journey through lent. We reflected on the Simon’s, Veronica’s, and Virgin Mary’s in our lives. More importantly, we remembered the times where we failed to help Christ. As we died to ourselves during lent, we had the greatest joy in Resurrecting with our Lord. Our rising was both spiritual and physical because of the way we now approach prayer and our actions toward others.
