The Parishes Celebrate the Feast of Saint Stephen
الأحتفال
بعيد مار اسطيفانوس
Less than two months
after the ordination of three deacons and many
sub-deacons and lectors set apart to serve the
Chaldean Diocese of St. Peter the Apostle, the
Church celebrated the Memorial of St. Stephen, the
first Deacon and Martyr on February 4th.
After the two Sunday Masses at St. Peter Chaldean
Cathedral in El Cajon, CA, there was a banquet in
honor of all those who serve the Church - deacons,
sub-deacons, lectors, choir members, parish council
members, all sodalities and all other volunteers,
without whose service the Church could hardly do her
work. Around 200 people attended and enjoyed the
food and fellowship, in the presence of the Bishop
and several priests.
