My Inspiration By: Peter Alkatib Day in and day out it's "open close" for my father at the store. As most of us know running a “store” is one of the hardest things a person could do. Do most of us realize the extreme hard work our fathers go through? Probably not! All most of us do is ask for money or for things that we just “have to have or we can’t survive.” Everyday we may be asked by our Dad, “Son or Daughter; could you help me today?” and what do we do? Well, most of us probably just make up some excuse, but do we realize that any little thing we do would mean the whole world to him? Can we not take one hour or two hours out of our life for him? All of our father’s hard work and struggles are for us and for our future! Have we ever thought of thanking him? Probably not! I know I haven’t. Well, I encourage you all to thank your dad at least every once in a while. And most importantly to take everything your Dads have done for you and make something of it! I hope to become a doctor someday and seeing what my father goes through everyday only strengthens my desire to follow my dreams and strive to reach my goals. Every time I realize how stressed or exhausted he is, I only want to work even harder to fulfill my dreams. That way all my fathers’ suffering will not have been for nothing. My inspiration is my father! So I will end by saying: Thank you for inspiring me to never give up and to work hard to make a better future for myself! I hope my story will inspire all of you to become whatever it is you may have always dreamed to be and to strive to make a better future for yourself. I wish you all the best and God Bless!
